I had a really warm, awesome response to the post I wrote last week & it was nice to know you guys could relate (although I was 99% sure you all could).
One of my readers commented and suggested we do some kind of weekly link-up talking about the "real" us. You know, because we typically don't blog or IG things about our old, stained sweatshirts that we're actually wearing 25% of the time or about us without makeup. I thought it was a fabulous idea.
I thought it was a great idea but I wasn't really quite sure how we could incorporate it into a link-up. I mean, I didn't want to be like, "okay, this week, take a picture of your kid throwing a fit and post it", so I thought an IG hashtag would be a good idea. That way, when one of us is having one of those, "ugh! everyone is so perfect except meeeeee!" moments, we can look at all the pictures under the hashtag & realize that nope, nobody is perfect or has the perfect life.
So, next time you're having a moment when you look around & think ha! wow!! If only people could see this. or a moment or day that's so shitty, you have to just laugh, Instagram it with the hashtag #lifeuncensored because really, that's kind of what we're doing when we post mostly the good stuff on our blogs & IG, we're censoring. Censoring isn't a bad thing but it's just a .... thing. It's normal.
Alright so, I'm going to go take my shot right now & trust me, it's totally worthy of the #lifeuncensored hashtag. I can't wait to see what comes of this!
