Why 2012 is going to be the most amazing year yet.

2012 has a lot of exciting events in store for me and I could not be more excited about them. Luckily, I don't have to wait long because the first big event is just right around the corner ...

  • Rush!!!: I'm going back to Butler in 8 days to begin the process of joining a sorority. Of course, I'm a little nervous but most of all, I'm excited. I'm ready to meet new people, wear all of my fun little outfits and most importantly, join a house of girls who will be my rock for the next two and a half years.
  • I'm turning 20!!: I've been waiting for almost forever to join the "20 something" blogger communities. No. I'm not kidding. Also, I spent my birthday at Disney World last year which was, no doubt, amazing, but I'm really looking forward to a birthday dinner with all my friends. Plus, of course, I'm already planning out my birthday presents. Whoops.
  • I'm going to Jamaica!!: I announced it on Twitter and Facebook, but I haven't told you guys on Blogger that I got accepted to go on a trip with Butler and YMCA to Mandeville, Jamaica over spring break. We will be working at a couple different orphanages doing work at the orphanages like painting and cleaning and also playing with the kids. This is something I've been wanting to do since last year in March, so I'm over the moon that it's actually going to be happening.
  • I'm off to New York!!: One of my all time best friends, who I cheered with in high school, moved to New York this year. She's a year younger than me and pretty much moved to New York on a whim in August. She's living with her boyfriend's sister in a one bedroom apartment where they share a bed and a closet and love their rockstar lives which includes being promotional models at huge events people like Fergie attend on the regular. She was home for Christmas and even though we hadn't seen each other in a year, we picked up right where we left off and remembered our love for each other. Kidding. Kinda. So anyway, I've never been to New York, I love my girl A, and I can't think of a better time to visit than May. I'm stoked.
  • Our Annual Family Vacation to N.C.: It happens every year. You've seen two posts on it already, but I'm never any less excited for it. A week of laying on the beach sun up to sun down along side my cousins?? Seriously one of the best weeks of the year. Every year.
  • I'll be in my first wedding!!: My longest-time-friend, Megan, is getting married July 14 and I'm a bridesmaid!! She and I used to talk all the time when we were little girls about being in each other's weddings so this really is a dream come true. Plus, who doesn't love helping to throw a big party for someone they love?? Don't answer that because I don't wanna know that person.

Waaaaa! This list makes me want to jump on the bed like Julia Roberts does in Pretty Woman. Or is that a couch? Well whatever, you get my point. The first six months of 2012 are about to be the bomb-freakin-diggity.

There will for sure be some wedding showers thrown in this schedule, a budding photography business and hopefully (fingers crossed) an amazing internship.

Also? all of these things are the reason I'm going to be relentless in getting the extra weight I've been carrying around off. Yes, I know I'm not like super overweight but I'm definitely not at my happy place and worst of all, I never like pictures of myself.

I want to be taking pictures constantly during all of these events and I don't want to not have any of myself because I don't like the way I look. So I'm onward marching from now until 25 pounds later. Or maybe 20. We'll see.

What events are you looking forward to for 2012??

Wow! You're one busy girl with all your plans coming up, and here it is only the second day of the year! Sounds like you're up for some fun times soon.

I too can relate with wanting to lose some weight. I don't like the way I currently look in pictures either. Wishing you much success! :)
