Chicken Noodle Soup for My Soul

The Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul books used to be some of my favorite.

I guess I've kind of always been into self help books. Maybe it's because my mom started me on Aesop's Fables so early.

"What's the moral of the story, Ali?", she'd ask. & my little 4-year old voice would say, "that even little people can do big things" or whatever the moral actually was.

Although I haven't read one of those books in a while, I'm pretty sure I could write a, "Chicken Noodle Soup for Anyone's Soul" picture book with these two pictures:

I had a little extra time on Monday so I spent it reading underneath a shade tree with a friend. It was absolutely perfect in every way & I can't wait to do it again.

& yes, The Help is amazing so far.

ps. Did you enter my two giveaways yesterday?? I'm picking a winner tomorrow!

I love sitting under a tree on a nice day. Adding a good friend sounds like perfection.
