Last night was rough, I'm not going to lie about that. I was awake at 1 a.m., 2, 3, & then for the final time at 8.
At 8 a.m., I gave up on getting any kind of good sleep & decided to start my day.
The sun was shining bright up in a fully blue sky & I knew it was going to be a beautiful day.
Thank God for the gorgeous day because I'm not sure what I would've done if it was rainy & I had to stay in all day.
The difference in my mood when it's rainy versus when it's sunny is night & day.
I've really been enjoying doing yard work lately & there were still a lot of things that needed to be done out there so I jumped on it early.
I looked in the shed & garage for our edger without any luck at all, so I just started doing it with a huge kitchen knife.
Yeah, it works & yeah, my grandma used to do it but you really don't want to do the whole lawn with it.
Well, I don't.
I saw my neighbors out across the street & we're a super close cul-de-sac of neighbors so I went over & asked if they had an edger.
All bright-eyed & bushy-tailed the lady said, "you know how to edge?"
I was a bit confused.
There's the concrete, and there's the grass & there's supposed to be a distinction between the two.
Not rocket science.
"Yeah", I said, "why?"
"I just thought", she pulled her hand up to her hair and acted like she was poofing it, "you were too much of a princess to do something like that."
It didn't really make me mad that she said that, but more just made me laugh.
Where do people get this idea that they should vomit ignorance all over the place all of the time?
I don't understand.
So to all you ignorance-pukers out there, before you say something that makes you look like a complete jerk, seriously, just don't.
