I guess maybe it seems a little odd to say an interview is life changing but man, I want to watch this interview over and over again - every single day. I want to adopt this amazing attitude.

Last year, my roommate, Ashley, started dating one of the Butler basketball players, Erik Fromm. On one of the first nights they hung out, he came to our room to play Just Dance and we all hung out together and had a great time. Ever since then, I've gladly invited myself to be a third wheel with them anytime I can and have considered Erik one of my greatest friends.

My best friend, Alli,  said it perfectly yesterday - Erik makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world when you're talking to him - he does. Erik has a heart like I've never seen; he treats Ashley like pure gold and together, they're one of the strongest, sweetest couples I've ever met. Erik goes out of his way, every day, to make Ashley feel special.

Unfortunately, Erik's dad, Len, passed away last weekend after a seven-month battle with cancer.

I got to spend some time with Len at basketball games & just in the short time I spent with him, I could tell he was amazing. Len treated Erik's mom like gold so it's no surprise Erik is so good to Ashley. And not only was he one of the most gracious people I've ever met, he was also one of the smartest. He was nothing short of inspirational.

Even if you never met Len or Erik or Erik's mom Donna, this interview Erik did yesterday, on his 21st birthday, goes to show you what fabulous parents he has.

I truly think that if you watch this interview Erik did yesterday on his dad, you'll be a better person. I feel like I'm changed. I want to make a bracelet that says, "the only disease is a negative attitude".
