You know that, "all is right with the world" feeling?
It comes sometimes when you're sitting in the bath tub sunk down below the bubbles listening to some slow music or when your chair is dug into the sand and it's just you and the ocean?
Or when you're at a dinner table filled with people you love or admire and you have nothing else to do but sit and soak up conversation?
That's how I felt Tuesday night at Alli's birthday dinner.
Some of us dressed up, some dressed down, but we all came together to celebrate Alli's birthday, my new friend who I feel like I've known all my life.
She chose Canal Bistro, a small greek restaurant in Broadripple, reason number 10,000 I know we're meant to be good friends.
And while we stuffed ourselves with hummus and gyros, we talked & all felt right with the world.
I could use more nights like that one.

Anyway: love this place! And I totally know what you're saying about the old-but-not-old friends, I have one of those too and can't imagine my life without her.
