The Last Supper

Good Morning, Sunshines!

It's the first full day of Collegian (butler's newspaper) bootcamp & we've been rockin' since 9 a.m. We've had our first staff meeting & now we're split up into our sections. Since I'm a lone ranger as the Promotions Director, I have some time to blog. I'll tell our editor you said thank you later.

So anyway, on to the point of the post: The Last Supper.

I think it's a pretty common thing for a college student's parent to cook her favorite meal the night before she heads off to college & since we don't like to skimp on special occasions around my house, my momma did just that for me on Sunday night.

It just so happens that unless I'm craving something, I don't have a favorite food beside everything carb loaded & terrible for me because it really depends on what mood I'm in.

Sunday night, I wasn't really that hungry, but I knew an old family favorite would hit the spot. Especially since it's something I don't get often & can't get anywhere here.

It's Tuna casserole.

I know, it doesn't sound that good, but I'm telling you, it's delicious.

Tuna is a staple in our family in various forms. We eat Tuna salad, tuna steaks & tuna casserole & it's a mild catastrophe if someone eats the last can without the communication of their offense.

This casserole is super quick & easy, very satisfying & not too terrible for you depending on how much you eat.

Since I love it so much, I'm sharing a picture & the recipe. You're welcome.

The Recipe out of my mommas mouth:

1 Large can of Tuna in water
1 can of peas
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 bag of cooked noodles
1 dash of pepper
1 sash of milk
2 handfuls of shredded cheddar (one mixed in & one on top)

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees

Oh & p.s.: thanks for the overwhelming comments congratulating me on coming back to school. It feels so good to be loved by my readers.

& p.s.s.: I got the second thing I'm giving away next week, yesterday & I love it. So basically, I'm going to be entering my own giveaway. Not really, but I wish.

Hahaha I just made the lazygirl's version of this Saturday for lunch, and HJ looked at me like I was nuts! (I just make a box of macaroni & cheese, and dump a can of tuna in after adding the cheese powder!)

This reminds me of my Granny; the only time I had this was at her house. I may have to copy the recipe and make it for old times sake.
